  • Salary: $33.91 – $39.26 per hour

✈️🚨 Airport Firefighter Responsibilities

As a Yukon Airport Firefighter, you will:

βœ… Respond to aircraft emergencies and airport fire rescue incidents
βœ… Perform structural firefighting and fire suppression operations
βœ… Operate rescue firefighting vehicles and specialized ARFF equipment
βœ… Conduct emergency medical response and first aid treatment
βœ… Support airport safety, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness programs
βœ… Utilize SCBA, PPE, and emergency communications systems
βœ… Participate in airport emergency response training and fitness evaluations
βœ… Work in dynamic and high-pressure emergency environments


βœ… Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • NFPA 1001 Level 1 Structural Firefighter Certification (or equivalent)
  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR/AED with BLS and O2 Airway Management
  • Experience operating firefighting vehicles and rescue equipment
  • Experience with PPE and SCBA
  • Experience with Incident Command and emergency communications
  • Structural firefighting experience
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement
  • Ability to obtain:
    • Transportation Security Clearance (TSC)
    • Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP)
    • ROC-A Radio Certificate
  • Valid passport or equivalent travel documents
