🚨 Firefighter Duties

• Respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies
• Perform firefighting, suppression, ventilation, and rescue operations
• Participate in ongoing emergency training
• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and readiness checks
• Support public education and fire prevention initiatives
• Complete reports using digital fire records systems
• Maintain station cleanliness and operational readiness
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and workplace safety

✅ Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• 🎓 Grade 12 diploma or GED
• 🚒 NFPA 1001 Firefighter I & II Certification (IFSAC or Pro Board)
• ⛑️ Valid FR or EMR licence (BC EMA or equivalent)
• 🚛 Valid Class 3 BC Driver’s Licence or equivalent
• 📄 Clean driver’s abstract (minimum 3 years)
• 💪 Physical and medical fitness for firefighting duties
• 🇨🇦 Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• 🧯 Minimum two years of relevant work experience

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Wildland firefighting experience
• EMS, Coast Guard, military, police, or SAR background
• Additional NFPA certifications
• Trades certification or post-secondary education
• Volunteer and community involvement experience
