Applicants can begin applying on July 25, 2022. Please refer to the 2022 Firefighter Application Guide for an overview of the recruitment process.
Please ensure you review the application guide prior to submitting your online application. Candidates that do not meet the minimum qualifications will not be considered. Submission deadline for applications is August 12, 2022.
Recruitment Stages
The firefighter recruitment process consists of eleven unique stages (dates listed below are subject to change):
- Stage 1: Application process – Closing date August 12, 2022
- Stage 2: Written Aptitude Test – August 27, 2022
- Stage 3: Physical Ability Assessment – September 10, 2022
- Stage 4: Panel Interview – Week of October 3-7, 2022
- Stage 5: Police Information Checks – October 12-16, 2022
- Stage 6: In-Station Assessment Day – October 17, 19, 22 and 23, 2022
- Stage 7: Selection of Eligibility Pool – October 21, 2022
- Stage 8: Conditional Job Offers – October 21, 2022
- Stage 9: Reference checks – October 24 – November 3, 2022
- Stage 10: Pre-Employment Medical Evaluation – October 24 – November 3, 2022
- Stage 11: Fire Chiefs Official Call to Serve – November 4, 2022
- Start Date: November 21, 2022
