Successful candidates will work a rotating 4-on / 4-off schedule consisting of day and night shifts while supporting emergency response operations throughout the City of Iqaluit. 💰 Firefighter / EMR Salary and Benefits

• 💵 $43.25 per hour
• ⏱️ Average 42-hour work week

✅ Required Firefighter Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• 🚒 NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level I & II
• 🚑 Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification
• ❤️ Current CPR HCP certification
• ☣️ NFPA 472 or NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Operations
• 🚛 Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with air brake endorsement
• 🎓 Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• 🔍 Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening
• 🤝 Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• 🩺 PCP or ACP certification
• 🚒 NFPA 1002 Driver/Operator certification
