🎓 Minimum Qualifications

🖐 High School Diploma or higher post-secondary education
🖐 Educational credential assessment (if educated outside Canada)
🖐 Valid medical certification (must be valid until at least Feb 10, 2026), including one of the following:

  • Advanced First Aid (80 hrs, Alberta OHS approved)

  • Medical First Responder (MFR)

  • EMR, PCP, ACP, EMT, EMT-A, EMT-P

  • Nursing (RN, LPN, Psychiatric Nurse)

  • Physician Assistant (PACCC)

  • Canadian Armed Forces Combat First Aid

🖐 U of A Firefighter Fitness Test
🖐 Respirator fit testing
🖐 Police Information Check (Vulnerable Sector)
🖐 Alberta Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brakes
🖐 Fire station visit and ride-along
🖐 Psychological assessment (if required)

💰 Salary & Benefits

🖐 Hourly: $36.445 – $62.477
🖐 Annual: $79,902 – $136,974
