The Town of Whitby is recruiting Probationary Firefighters to join Whitby Fire and Emergency Services. Salary

• Starting Salary: $74,036 per year

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Pre-Service Firefighter Program or NFPA 1001 Firefighter I & II (IFSAC or Pro Board)
• Successful completion of all six OFAI Candidate Testing Services
• Valid Swim Test (or complete Whitby’s swim test if selected)
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C & AED
• Valid Ontario Class D Driver’s Licence with Z endorsement
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Strong physical fitness and teamwork skills
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications
