β Minimum Qualifications (Required)
β Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
β NFPA 1001 Firefighter I & II
β NFPA 1072 or 472 HazMat Operations
β Valid Ontario Class DZ driverβs licence
β Current First Responder & BLS certification
β Meet NFPA hearing and vision standards
β CPAT completed (within 12 months or required during process)
β Legally entitled to work in Canada
β Clean CPIC & Vulnerable Sector Check
β Reside (or agree to reside) within 15 km of Pembroke Fire Station
β Assets (Preferred Qualifications)
β Pre-Service Firefighter Education
β Licensed trade background (HVAC, electrical, carpentry, mechanical)
β NFPA 1002 Pump Operator
β NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector
β NFPA 1035 Public Educator
β NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I
β NFPA 1041 Instructor I
β ICS 100 / 200

2025 Probationary Salary: $67,638.42 annually
