Key Responsibilities

Fire suppression and emergency response operations
-
Emergency medical response, rescue, and extrication

Public education, inspections, and fire prevention initiatives

Operation of fire apparatus, pumps, ladders, and rescue equipment

Scene safety, teamwork with allied agencies, and customer service

Station, vehicle, and equipment maintenance
-
Participation in ongoing training and professional development
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess all certifications at time of application, including:

OFAI Candidate Testing Service (CTS)

Stage 1: Firefighter Aptitude & Character Test

Stage 2: Hearing, Vision, Encapsulated Treadmill
-
Stage 3: FPAT & Technical Skills Assessment

OFAI Swim Test
-
-
NFPA 1001 Firefighter I & II (IFSAC or Pro Board)

NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Operations
-
Ontario DZ driverβs licence (or equivalent)

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or equivalent

CPR-BLS
-
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
Assets (Preferred)

NFPA 1002 β Driver/Operator
