Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services, is offering a unique Work Experience Program (WEP) to graduates from an accredited Post Secondary College Pre-Service Firefighter Program.
Some key aspects to the program include:
- The WEP students will live at our station in Shanty Bay
- Logging is paid for, they also receive a monthly allowance for living expenses
- We will certify them in Pump Ops, looking to add a few more courses
- They will take part in Boots & Hearts and other events in the area
- Run Emergency calls, take part in station training
